In order to raise money to attend the JEA/NSPA Conference in Denver this year, I am organizing a dinner and silent auction. We distributed posters throughout the school and procured items from local businesses for silent auction donations.

In publicizing our Valentine's banquet, we contacted the local newspaper and asked them to run an advertisement for the event. They countered with the offer of an article, which ran on the front of the community section.

While we raise a lot of our funds through the annual banquet, we also reached out to local organizations. This is a letter we delivered to the Sonora Area Foundation, which ultimately resulted in a large donation towards our goal.
